A sweeping education reform bill opposed by some school districts.  Why?

“Teacher unions and others regard charter schools as a threat. They’re willing to settle for public schools that are failing,” Representative Jim Boyd said.

“He stressed that “every charter school is sanctioned by their local School Board” and can be closed by that board if it does not meet required standards.”

House Bill 7069, was passed in the 2017 Session.
